Sicilian Wine Talents
The various areas of Sicily can be best described by those passionate souls who grow the grapes and transform them into wine. These are the talented professionals who share a common objective: acquiring worldwide success for Sicilian wines thanks to their quality, presentation and communication.
TERRITORY & QUALITY
A land conquered by many, located in the middle of the Mediterranean, Sicily has been a point of reference for the wine world from time immemorial. The range of microclimates found on the island, translates into very different organoleptic properties for the same grape varieties grown just a few kilometers apart from each other.
Of Sicily’s 115,686 hectares (over 285,866 acres) of vineyards, 64% of which produce white grape varieties, there are 710 wineries on the island, which turn out 200 million bottles per year, including one DOCG (Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed) and 22 PDO (Protected Denomination of Origin) wines. These are amazing numbers that tell the reality of this mini continent: Sicily.
